Chocolate Apples

Preparation: 5 minutes
Cooking: 4 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 85g (3oz) milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 4tsp slivered almonds
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp double cream
  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples (or other baking apple), cored and sliced into ½ inch wedges (peel if preferred)
  1. Combine all ingredients in a Medium or Large Zip’n Steam™ bag
  2. Seal bag and shake to mix ingredients. Place bag in microwave.
  3. Cook on full power 2 - 3 minutes or until apples have softened.
  4. Allow bag to stand 1 minute before handling. Gently shake and squeeze bag to combine the meltedchocolate and warm cream to smooth sauce.
  5. Open bag and allow to cool slightly before serving.
  6. Drizzle with additional melted chocolate, if desired.
